Although dermal fillers and Botox are both injectable treatments, dermal fillers are used to fill areas under the skin, whereas Botox is used to paralyze muscles under the skin. Hyaluronic acid fillers are a popular choice because of their compatibility with the human body. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in our body’s connective tissues, cartilage and skin tissue, which makes it a desirable and natural injectable substance. Step 1 –Map and mark the appropriate injection sites on your face.
Step 2 – Sanitize the injection sites with an antibacterial agent and administer a mild anesthetic to numb the skin (if necessary).
Step 3 – Inject the filler using a small needle. The injections will only take a few moments at each site. Ice and massage.
Step 4 – Ice to reduce swelling. Light bruising may occur.
