Microneedling for Skin Rejuvenation with PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)
This is the case of a 54-year-old female who came in asking for correction of 2 issues. The first was excision of her upper eyelids and correction of her lateral hooding in that area. She underwent bilateral cosmetic eyelid surgery (see Blepharoplasty section).
The other issue was decreased wrinkling and rejuvenation of her facial skin. We chose 4 sessions of microneedling with PRP, each session occurring 8 weeks apart. Her face was anesthetized with numbing cream. We used 0.5 mm depth microneedling in the forehead and between 1-2 mm in all other areas of the face including around the mouth, chin and cheeks. As you can see from the early and late photos, she had a good result with less wrinkling over time. The after photo she has PRP on her face as she was
