Dermal Fillers 3
Dermal fillers are injectable fillers that help restore your skin’s smooth, youthful appearance. Dermal fillers can be used to plump lips and cheeks, fill wrinkles and smile lines, improve acne scars, reduce puffy/dark under eyes and contour jawline/cheek bones. As we age, our skin becomes more elastic and we naturally lose subcutaneous fat, causing crow’s feet, frown and smile lines to be more apparent. The procedure takes less than an hour with minimal side-effects. and will give your skin an overall well-rested, rejuvenated appearance. If you are experiencing early signs of aging or simply want to reinvigorate your skin’s natural appearance, dermal fillers could be a great solution for you. Most dermal fillers are temporary and are naturally absorbed into the skin after a certain period of time, typically around 6 months. Dermal fillers should not be confused with Botox.
Although dermal fillers and Botox are both injectable treatments, dermal fillers are used to fill areas under the skin, whereas Botox is used to paralyze muscles under the skin. There are a variety of types of injectable fillers available. Juvederm and Restylane are two popular hyaluronic acid fillers used to reduce facial wrinkles and lines and add volume to facial tissues such as the lips and cheeks. Hyaluronic acid fillers are a popular choice because of their compatibility with the human body. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in our body’s connective tissues, cartilage and skin tissue, which makes it a desirable and natural injectable substance. Average cost: $600-$1,000 per unit.
